The penny has dropped (or the buck has landed)...

In Kuala Lumpur.

The plane burst through the clouds this afternoon, and shot straight through the middle of a palm grove, hitting the runway without so much as a pop of the ears. My best landing yet.

The first thing that hit me when I stepped off the plane was the humidity. Wet is not even the word! Instant mains socket effect - my hair was a ball of fizz in ten seconds flat!

After a quick mooch around the hotel and pool to see what's on offer (quite a bit for £35 a night - free drinks and snacks all day, free wifi and use of the pool, gym and spa) followed by a walk into town for some Malaysian food. I had dry sauce chicken curry (not sure what is meant by dry sauce... It seemed pretty wet to me) with noodles. It was quite delicious!

I'm thoroughly jet lagged despite sleeping for most of the flight so back to my room now for some Z's.

Before I go though, how about this for a £35 a night view?

  1. Hey Kat, I've been a follower of your blog for a while now. I came across it while searching for some stuff about Japan 2 years ago. Right now I'm seriously considering a trip to Malaysia so I'll definitely follow your adventures there! Can you reveal the name of your hotel if it's not confidential? Thanks in advance! Greetings From Poland :))
